This Privacy Policy describes how TourMate ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses information when
you use our mobile application, TourMate (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If
you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect various types of information in connection with the services we provide, including:
a. Information You Provide Directly
Location Data (Approximate and Precise):
When you use our App, we request access to your device's location. This includes both precise location (using
GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular network data) and approximate location (using cell tower and Wi-Fi signals). We collect
and process this information to provide you with location-based tour recommendations, directions, and to enhance
your tour experience by showing relevant points of interest. You can enable or disable location services for the
App at any time through your device settings.
Camera Access:
If you choose to enable it, we request access to your device's camera. This access is solely used for features
within the App that allow you to:
- Take photos to post in the App's social media section: You can capture images to share with
other TourMate users within our in-app social feed, allowing you to document and share your tour experiences.
- Take or select a photo for your user profile picture: You can use your camera to capture a
new profile picture or select an existing one from your device's gallery to personalize your TourMate user
profile.
We do not access your camera or collect images without your explicit permission and only when you actively use
these specific features. Images captured or selected for social media posts or profile pictures may be stored on
our servers to enable these functionalities and may be visible to other users according to the App's social
features and your privacy settings within the App.
b. Automatically Collected Information
Usage Data:
We may collect information about how you access and use the App, such as features you use, the time and duration
of your activities, and app crashes. This data helps us improve the App's functionality and user experience.
Device Information:
We may collect information about your mobile device, including the device model, operating system version, unique
device identifiers, and mobile network information. This helps us ensure compatibility and optimize app
performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:
- To Provide and Maintain the App: Including enabling core functionalities like location-based
tours, directions, social media features, and user profile management.
- To Improve, Personalize, and Expand Our App: Understanding how users interact with the App
helps us enhance features, develop new services, and tailor content to your preferences.
- To Analyze Usage and Trends: To monitor and analyze usage and activity trends to better
understand how users interact with our App.
- To Communicate with You: Such as providing updates, security alerts, and support messages.
- To Ensure Security: To detect and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal
activities, and protect the rights and property of TourMate and others.
- To Fulfill Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal
processes.
3. How We Share Your Information

- With Other Users (for social features): Photos you post in the social media section and your
profile picture may be visible to other TourMate users as part of the App's intended social functionality.
- With Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors, consultants,
and other service providers who perform services on our behalf and require access to such information to do that
work. These may include analytics providers, cloud hosting services, and customer support providers.
- For Business Transfers: In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of
company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company.
- For Legal Reasons: If we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law,
regulation, or legal process (such as a court order or subpoena), or to protect the rights, property, or safety
of TourMate, our users, or the public.
- With Your Consent: We may share your information with your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy,
unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When your information is no longer needed, we
will securely delete or anonymize it.
5. Your Choices and Rights
You have certain choices regarding the information we collect and how it's used:
- Location Services: You can enable or disable location services for TourMate at any time
through your device settings. Please note that disabling location services may affect the functionality of
location-based features in the App.
- Camera Access: You can revoke camera access for TourMate at any time through your device
settings. This will prevent you from using features that require camera access, such as posting to the social
media section or updating your profile picture.
- Opt-Out of Communications: If you receive promotional communications from us, you can opt-out
by following the instructions in those communications.
- Access, Correction, or Deletion: Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to
request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information that we hold. To exercise these

6. Security of Your Information
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration,
disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage
is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal
information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally
identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child
has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal
information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that
information from our servers.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy
Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to
